So...Where do you take pictures?

Don't worry: We don’t have pre-made, cookie-cutter stations that we move people through. We have the privilege of being located on a historic Main Street in Buford. It has so much character and texture, making it a perfect portrait destination! Below are some examples of what is within walking distance of our studio, and it just scratches the surface of what is possible!

Main Street

The LMP Studio is located in the middle of Main Street, which has a timeless, small town feel. The sidewalks are lined with trees, local businesses with reflective glass storefronts, and historical buildings. The overall palette of Main Street lends itself to many different styles and it provides visually pleasing lines to frame each portrait.

The East Side

The eastern end of Main Street is anchored by the tannery (see below). The area surrounding the tannery has green space, stunning historical homes, and long stretches of road. The jewel of the eastern end is the Bona Allen mansion - a private property that can give a dramatic backdrop to any portrait. This end of Main Street is a great location for photographing vehicles and capturing dramatic street portraits.

The Tannery

The main attraction of the eastern end of Main Street, this massive monument was built in 1873. The front of the building is clean and peppered with the original windows, while a spacious tree-lined sidewalk provides shade. The back of the building is much more industrial in its feel, with the addition of an iron staircase and openings that references back to when it was a working factory.

The Parking Deck

Call us crazy, but parking decks provide a modern blank canvas. The parking deck behind our studio also has a beautiful ramp that is detailed with long lamp posts and brick details. The old sheriff’s station backs up to the deck, allowing use of the worn garage doors. This is another great place to photograph cars, but it is so much more than that. This area also has a new green space that we are excited to utilize this season!

The West Side

The western end of Main Street centers around a courtyard, whose perimeter is made of historical buildings and trees. This area of Main Street is one of our most heavily photographed because it combines architecture, greenery, “old town” landscape, and the railroad (see below). We are constantly finding new nooks within this area!

The Railroad

What historic Main Street would be complete with a railroad? The railroad runs parallel to Main Street, giving multiple angles in which to photograph portraits around it. On one side, a small gardens house flowers. On the other side, the very popular Buford sign with a backdrop of the Main Street buildings. This is a highly requested area on Main Street, especially for local residents!
